About the event
For the first of this season's What I Hear events, Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Kevin Puts curates a program of chamber music in connection with the BSO's performances of his The Brightness of Light later this evening. NEC students perform his works Air (for cello and piano), a movement from Alternating Currents for solo piano, and a movement from his quintet for piano and strings, Red Snapper. Also on the program is a movement from Schubert's Piano Quintet in A, D. 667 "The Trout."
BSO Artistic Administrator Eric Valliere moderates a conversation with the composer. Stephen Drury is music director of the series.
